VUZION Chris Hoard speaking at Ignite 2019

Vuzion Partner Consultant and MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer), Chris Hoard writes …

I’m delighted to have been asked to speak at Microsoft’s largest annual technical-focused event, Ignite, and held this year in Orlando, Florida, 4-8 November.

With over 25,000 delegates expected, and key speakers including Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Corporate Vice President (Commercial Management Experiences) Brad Anderson, and Corporate Vice President (Office 365) Jeff Taper, over 1,000 sessions have been scheduled, to include keynotes, breakout and theatre sessions, unconferences, and labs.

I will be doing two sessions:

1. Leveraging Microsoft Teams to Deliver Instructor Led Training (Session Code: THR2045)

The Ignite website gives the following information: “Microsoft Teams is the hub for collaboration. It is also the perfect application to deliver high quality instructor-led training (ILT). Learn how using it for Microsoft Official Course delivery can make your life as a technical trainer significantly easier, as well as provide a great learning experience for your attendees before, during, and after the event.”

The session format is theatre-style, duration 20 minutes.

2. Nine and a Half Years without Certification (Session Code: THR1015)

Ignite promotes the session as follows: “We love what we do - but many of us don't love exams, and many of us perform our day-to-day roles or have gone through our professional lives without ever getting certified. Is certification necessary for our success? Learn why certification is necessary for long-term career development, why we must consistently challenge workplace cultures where certification is not valued and why we must deconstruct and challenge our own reasons for not owning our continuing professional development.”

The session format is again theatre-style, and 20-minutes in duration.

Dates and times have not yet been issued for sessions, but I will update this blog once the schedule has been given out.

Ignite is currently sold out – although those still hoping to attend are added to a waiting list – but, if you are registered, I hope to see you at one or both of my sessions. Microsoft invites MCTs, RDs (Regional Director), and MVPs (Microsoft Valued Professional) to speak, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity.

If you’d like more information about the courses I run, visit the Training Courses page on the Vuzion website.  We currently have scheduled courses covering the fundamentals of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Azure. You can also reach me on 0333 009 5939, or email partners@vuzion.cloud.
