The Microsoft Cloud Agreement (MCA) is the CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) programme customer agreement, detailing applicable use rights and governing a customer’s use of Microsoft cloud services. MCA terms are refreshed and re-published on an annual basis, with this year’s updated version effective from 1 September 2017.
Charlton Levendale, Vuzion Project Manager, says, “Every customer must accept the terms of the MCA through the partner. It is the partner’s responsibility to provide the MCA to the customer, and to ensure it is the relevant/current version.
“By placing an order with Microsoft, the partner is confirming that the customer has accepted the MCA terms and conditions.
“As of 1 September 2017, partners will need to provide the updated MCA to existing customers renewing subscriptions or buying a new subscription, as part of the terms and conditions for licensing through the CSP programme.”
The existing MCA’s terms will continue to apply for existing customers, until subscription renewal/termination.
