ATTENTION: All VAR and MSPs that have CSP reseller accounts with Microsoft need to transition to Microsoft Partner Centre before January 31st 2020.

Historically Microsoft has provided a myriad of portals for managing competencies, benefits and action packs with partners. This led to confusion with many partners not sure which portal to use to seek support and information.

Microsoft launched the new Partner Centre in 2018 to help solve the problem. Over the past couple of years, Microsoft has developed the MS Partner Centre to become the single portal for all partner dealings. With the transition period complete, all transactions can now be assigned and managed inside Microsoft Partner Centre rendering all other portals redundant.

As a result, all other portals will be discontinued after January 31st 2020. Any partner which has not transitioned to the new Partner Centre will be unable to transact new CSP business or manage existing subscriptions until they have made the transition.

Before you transition to MS Partner Centre, there are few things to consider.

3 Things to consider before making the switch:

1. Ensure Microsoft have migrated you from the old Partner Management Centre (PMC)

Before you can set up your new Partner Centre account you need to make sure Microsoft has transitioned your data from the old Partner Management Centre (PMC). Virtually all partners have been transitioned at this stage but you need to check or else your current contract data will not show up in your new account.

2. Agree to the new terms and conditions

Before gaining access to the new MS Partner Centre all partners will need to agree to the terms and conditions of the new Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA). This new single partner agreement combines several separate agreements making it easier for partners to manage. All partners must agree to the terms and conditions to be able to continue supplying and managing Microsoft services.

3. Enrol as a CSP Indirect Reseller

Once your new account is set up you will need to enrol as a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Indirect Reseller. This will allow you to work with indirect solution providers such as Vuzion to provide the cloud services, billing and support you need to grow your business.

Partners which have not yet transitioned still have time to do so. But with the cut-off date fast approaching, partners need to take action NOW to ensure their new Partner Centre account is set up and activated to prevent disruption.

If you need help transitioning your account please contact your Vuzion representative today. Failure to transition your account before the deadline may result in service disruption and will prevent you from signing up new CSP business going forward.
