Vuzion is very much looking forward to attending Microsoft’s Future Decoded, 31 October - 1 November 2017, hosted at ExCel, London.

Promoted as businesses’ “essential guide to disruptive technology and how it will impact people and businesses, today and tomorrow,” the annual event is now in its fourth year, and will be focusing on how cloud, big data and AI (artificial intelligence) is affecting organisations regardless of size, and across industry, market as well as internal department.

Cloud Opportunity

The focus underlines the message from Microsoft's flagship partner event, Inspire, held during the summer, highlighting the "massive opportunity " that cloud represents for partners globally - and with the UK opportunity alone worth $55.7 billion (see images above and below).

Day 1’s ‘Industry Insights & Futures’ sessions are aimed at business professionals and leaders, while ‘The Open Cloud’ is for IT professionals and developers, and will be looking at cloud and open source technology in particular.

The programme for Day 2’s ‘Azure Summit: Digital Disruption Today and Tomorrow’ has been drawn up for enterprise business and technology decision makers, and will be exploring the ways in which cloud is enabling organisations to change and develop business processes. The charts below illustrate the rapid growth of Azure in the UK, with organisations increasingly recognising the benefits of Azure.

Will Jones, Vuzion Cloud Infrastructure and Applications, comments, "As a technical consultant I help partners develop their solutions utilising the Azure Platform. So I am looking forward to the technical deep dives on day 2.

"I'm particularly excited about learning how to use CosmosDB in real world scenarios. CosmosDB really is the future of global database delivery for mission critical services."

For the IT professionals, Day 2 will be looking at code, scripts and data.

Julian Dyer, Vuzion CTO, says, “We’re particularly interested in hearing the latest update on Teams, and especially following the announcement that Skype for Business is to be phased out and to become part of Teams.

“Other areas of particular interest, and for which we’ll be looking out for news from Microsoft, are Power BI, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 – and it’s great to see Microsoft devoting a day to Azure.”

Commenting that Microsoft’s Future Decoded is a fantastic opportunity for businesses and the IT industry as a whole to come together and hear speakers from Microsoft as well guest speakers ranging from Microsoft partners to the business and technology sectors, Michael Frisby, Vuzion MD, adds, “We’re also delighted that Vuzion partner Risual is a headline sponsor, and our partners Flex and AvePoint are gold sponsors.

“We’re looking forward to seeing Risual, Flex, and AvePoint, at the event, and to catching up with other partners who’ll be attending, as well as meeting colleagues from other areas of the IT community.”
