At Vuzion, our mission is to help partners build a long-term, future-proof, and profitable cloud business. As such, we’re dedicated to supporting development of the necessary skills and expertise to enable partners to do so.

As part of our training and enablement programme, Vuzion EDGE, we recently launched the Azure Fundamentals course. Delivered by Vuzion partner consultant and Microsoft certified trainer, Chris Hoard, the course content maps to and has been created to prepare students for the AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals exam.

The first courses were held for Vuzion Ireland partners earlier in March - in Dublin and Galway.

Chris Hoard: "We had 18 and 12 attend the course respectively, which shows there’s a real demand for this in-person training.

"The course covers foundational level knowledge of cloud services and how those services are provided with Microsoft Azure, and can be taken as an optional first step in learning about cloud services and Microsoft Azure, before moving on to take further courses in Azure and Microsoft cloud services."

Developed for level 100 to 200 expertise, the course also looks at:

  • General cloud computing concepts
  • General cloud computing models and services such as public, private and hybrid cloud, and Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
  • Core Azure services and solutions
  • Key Azure pillar services, covering security, privacy, compliance and trust
  • Pricing and support services available with Azure.

Garth McManus, Sales Director at managed IT services provider, Compupac IT Solutions: "Having this quality of training is essential to growing our business going forward.

"To be able to give my staff training in an intensive one-day course was a massive plus for me. We sent a number of staff to the training and while it’s a lot to take in, the content was taught in a very clear way, and opened up some of my on-premise focused staff to the opportunities of moving forward into Azure.

It’s a great stepping-stone for my staff to pushing on to their Azure certifications. We are already looking forward to attending other courses Chris will be running."

Also to be delivered by Chis Hoard, is the Microsoft 365 Fundamentals course, preparing candidates for the Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals (MS-900) exam, and covering "the options available in Microsoft 365 and the benefits of adopting cloud services, the Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud model, and implementing Microsoft 365cloud service,"(Microsoft).

Details of forthcoming course dates will be announced shortly - but, you can register your interest now for either of the courses, via the Vuzion events page, and we’ll be in touch when timings have been confirmed.
