New client libraries for Go, Python and Node.js now in public preview
Azure Event Hubs, the highly scaleable data-streaming platform, has expanded its ecosystem to support more languages. The combination of its Advanced Message Queuing Protocol and new clients make for excellent inter-operability, compatibility and user-friendliness.
The following updates will provide more insights into the public preview of the new client libraries
- Event Hubs for Go - This new package offers you easy-to-use send and receive functions which communicate with the Event Hubs service using the AMQP 1.0 protocol. It also allows for improved load balancing and lease management for the consumers.
- Event Hubs for Node.js - This package offers efficient functionality in ingestion and consumption via the AMQP 1.0 protocol.
- Event Hubs for Python - This offers easy-to-use send and receive features wherein this client package talks to Event Hubs via AMQP 1.0 protocol.
New public preview for ExpressRoute with Network Performance Monitor
A new public preview is available for Network Performance Monitor’s (NPM) new capability to monitor Microsoft peering in ExpressRoute.
This has worked wonders in allowing users to identify bottlenecks during performance issues - allowing you to closely monitor end-to-end connectivity and utilise bandwidth with greater ease and efficiency.
New offers for Azure Marketplace
As part of the ongoing expansion in the Azure Marketplace, a number of new offers and deals went live. These included Etherium developer kits, Centos 7 Minimal Tensorflow Serving Certified by Bitnami.
There are 20 new offers in total, which all work to meet the new onboarding criteria. Each provides superb value for money and excellent usage.
Azure HITRUST® CSF Certification renewal and expansion

Microsoft container catalog syndication
In order to ensure that software vendors can place their container images in easy-to-locate places and to provide a trustworthy acquisition experience, Microsoft is transitioning to a syndication model.
This will enable multiple channels of discovery for container images, and offer a single download source for Microsoft's container images too.
In response to the popularity of Kubernates worldwide, Microsoft have made a number of improvements to their newly-titled Azure Kubernates Service (AKS).
These include DevOps project support and a new portal experience, as well as a range of other useful features. This fast, reliable and nimble program is one that every developer should try.
Virtual Network Service Endpoints for Azure Cosmos DB
Furthermore, Microsoft announced the general availability of Virtual Network Service Endpoints for Azure Cosmos DB. Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft's globally distributed, multi-model database service for mission-critical applications, can now use Virtual Network Service Endpoints to create new network rules. These allow traffic only from selected Virtual Network and subnets, they are now available in all regions of the Azure public cloud.
Use Azure Monitor Container health (preview) to monitor your Kubernates service
Ensuring that your applications are running as expected is crucial. You can now use our Azure Kubernates Service (AKS) to track the health and performance of your AKS cluster.
Simply enable container monitoring from the Azure portal when you create a new AKS cluster. Put simply, you are creating a central location to store your container logs.
