Further to our news item of 30 January 2019, reporting on Microsoft’s announcement of third-party marketplace coming to CSP Azure - Tuesday 12 March 2019 saw the start of the launch.
The third-party marketplace means that non-Microsoft ISVs will be able to offer services and products through the marketplace, with resellers able to add these to their customers’ CSP Azure subscriptions.
The launch on Tuesday was a soft launch, with products offered by Barracuda, Kemp, and F5, as an example of the third-party ISVs participating. This list will be added to over the next three-four months, as more and more ISVs opt-in to the programme.
What does this mean for resellers?
This is a going to bring major benefits to resellers - in particular
- The ease of billing - the third-party ISV products/services are included in the Microsoft Azure subscription and Vuzion reseller billing
- Simpler technical integration
- Easier customer delivery
Hand-in-hand with the Microsoft marketplace development, we’re delighted to announce details of the forthcoming major upgrade to Vuzion’s product and services marketplace, Vuzion CORE.
Again, to make life easier for our partners and their customers, the new features will include the availability of a much broader and growing catalogue, supporting multiple-vendors, as well as offering CPQ (configure/price/quote) functionality - providing spot price support, enabling our partners to be able to see potential margins, manage discount authorisation and quote issuing.
The upgrade will also mean simplified buying on behalf of customers, with subscription management, easy upsell and cross selling opportunities. Vuzion CORE marketplace enables your sales team to sell more.
Vuzion will be one of the first UK CSP Indirect Providers to be able to transact these third-party offers - so do visit the Vuzion partner portal to check out the register of third-party ISVs currently listed as participating in the launch.
