GDPR compliance – customer support package

Seven months until GDPR (the General Data Protection Regulation) comes into force on 25 May 2018, and most organisations have now begun the process of looking at what’s needed to meet the regulation’s requirements.

To enable partners to help customers work towards compliancy, Vuzion has created a support package incorporating educational forums and activities delivered by independent GDPR consultants from the information security and data protection services organisation Cybercrowd.

GDPR does not prescribe technologies, rather procedures organisations need to address, and grouping the regulation’s requirements according to the four pillars below can help businesses create a manageable structure for the overall process.

-  Location: identifying existing personal data held across the organisation

-  Governance: managing data subject access rights, data storage and use

-  Security: protecting against vulnerabilities and breach

-  Reporting: for data requests, breaches, and accountability

Vuzion’s three-phase package provides activities to support businesses in meeting the requirements for each of the pillars:

Phase 1 - Define the requirements: to support development of a full understanding of the regulation’s requirements, this phase incorporates webinars and workshops.

Phase 2 – Create the plan: health checks and readiness assessments are provided to help organisations as they identify the gaps between where existing capabilities meet GDPR requirements, where there are gaps, and to create the plan to move forward.

Phase 3 – Implement: Cybercrowd’s work package clinics support customers in defining process capabilities, and this is your opportunity to advise customers on the technology that can support compliancy – with Vuzion on hand to provide you with any additional support.
