The Vuzion team have just returned from Microsoft's annual partner event, Inspire 2018, which took place in Las Vegas.
As you can imagine, the team are only just starting to recover and digest all the key pieces of information that were announced during the four-day event.
If you missed Inspire, or attended and missed some of the important moments, don't worry as we've pulled together our top key learnings from this year's Microsoft Inspire:
1. Microsoft Cloud Solutions are going from strength to strength
As you can see from the statistics above, the opportunity presented by Microsoft Cloud Solutions such as Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics are growing rapidly every year — giving you more reason to become part of the CSP programme. Especially when the CSP growth for FY18 was over 230%!
2. If you didn't already know, the technology opportunity is bigger than ever
Intelligent Cloud and Intelligent Edge have the potential to impact every aspect of our work and personal lives — resellers will need to think about what aspect of this they want to get involved in and how they will deliver against this.
3. Digital Transformation is here and it's a $1 trillion opportunity for Microsoft partners

4. Microsoft 365 is bigger and better than ever
Microsoft's Modern Workplace approach is anchored around Microsoft 365 and more value is being added to the solution all the time.
There is a huge $100 billion opportunity as partners encourage customers to move to Microsoft 365. As Windows 7 and Office 2010 come to an end over the next three years, the Modern Workplace opportunity is bigger than ever.

5. Microsoft Teams is redefining the way people work together
Teams: the Inner Loop of how teams work together, typically around specific projects
Outlook: the Open Loop of communications — connect with anyone in or out of the organisation
Yammer: the Outer Loop of communication across the organisation
6. Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
With the huge advances in AI happening at such a fast pace, the technology industry needs to define how AI should work rather than what is possible.
7. Windows/SQL Server 2008 End of Support
As Windows/SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2 will no longer be supported, there is a huge opportunity for partners as customers will have to deal with the security and compliance risks that this EOS will bring by opting to move to Azure.
To encourage this migration, Microsoft are allowing 2008 and 2008 R2 to run on Azure, extending support for a further three years.
8. Microsoft in investing in the Internet of Things (IoT)
$5 billion over the next four years, to be exact, with most of this investment focused on partners (the Azure IoT hub investment is an example of this).
9. Compliance Manager
Microsoft Compliance Manager helps companies reach their security compliance requirements in an easy-to-use central hub. Plus, with Microsoft Information Protection, this can be aided further with AI, reducing the risk of human error.
10. Azure opportunity
Azure is the top platform for Microsoft, and a huge opportunity for partners.

Direct from Microsoft, these go-to-market offers are available for partners to utilise and gain new clients!
