The latest Microsoft 365 updates have arrived and there are some great new features that will benefit many users. A full rundown of the updates can be found in this video:
For those short on time, we’ve put together a brief overview of the most important improvements:
Boost productivity with Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams has been improving at an unprecedented pace recently, and March witnessed some of its best update announcements yet. The programme will soon allow users to customise their backgrounds within Teams meetings, encouraging the use of video and potentially improving productivity.
For users that are deaf or hard of hearing, new live caption and subtitles options will soon be rolled out to make the programme more inclusive.
Finally, secure private channels will be coming to Microsoft Teams later in the year, which will allow users to restrict channel visibility and participation without having to create a separate team.
Stay safe with Microsoft 365 Security Center
The new Microsoft 365 Security Center provides users with a new home to monitor and manage the security of all of their Microsoft identities, devices, data and applications. Indeed, the programme features a singular dashboard that offers security professionals somewhere to manage and oversee the security capabilities of Microsoft 365.
The Security Center includes tools allowing users to track down intrusion attempts affecting data, devices, and emails, as well as tools to track the protection status of their IT infrastructure and take actions to improve their security status.
Manage 365 services with the new Admin Center
The introduction of the new Microsoft 365 Admin Center will provide IT teams with an intuitive way to manage Office 365 and Microsoft 365 services. It offers a bespoke experience developed according to the needs of a given business or organisation, allowing teams to improve efficiency and develop future plans based on data-driven actionable insights.
Co-author documents with LinkedIn connections
Targeted release clients are now able to co-author documents with many of their first-degree LinkedIn connections. To do so, users can type the name of their collaborator in the ‘To’ field of a message or sharing document.
Overall, we think you’ll agree there have been some great updates this month! If you’d like any more information or have any questions, please get in touch with a member of the team today by calling 0333 009 5939 or emailing email@example.com
