Just this week, Microsoft announced some big changes to the Microsoft 365 Business hero offer. But what are these changes and how can they help you drive business improvement for your clients?

Microsoft 365 Business now includes the Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection service which includes automatic link inspection capabilities that spots phishing scams before a user can click on a malicious link, it also uses cutting-edge machine learning techniques to scan attachments prior to opening - which makes it easier to identify which messages are fake and which are real. In addition, Microsoft 365 Business can now act to stop an employee’s device from coming into contact with dangerous websites.
For clients who are either particularly concerned about preventing malware or who don't know where to start when it comes to data security, Microsoft 365 Business now packs a lot of extra protection to allay such fears.
One of the key benefits of the new Microsoft 365 Business package is the range of defences it provides against the sort of accidental data leaks which could end up heavily costing a client's business, particularly with GDPR coming in to force on 25th May 2018.
New features include the ability to implement BitLocker full disk encryption on Windows based devices, data loss prevention policies can be created to identify, monitor, and protect sensitive information like credit card numbers being accidentally emailed, combined with email archiving and preservation policies to help ensure data is properly retained for compliance purposes.
With these features already built into the new Microsoft 365 Business, they provide new services opportunities to help your customers implement and provide ongoing management of these new capabilities.
If you resell Microsoft 365 Business, the recent changes are also designed to make it easier to expand your customer base and increase average deal size.
The new suite has a range of new security capabilities that you can configure and manage as part of a recurring monthly service along with being a great way to differentiate yourself in the market.
