Microsoft’s Cloud Power Up incentive, covering CSP sales between 1 February and 30 June 2017, enables all CSP resellers to earn up to $50,000 for sales of Office 365, Dynamics 365, EM+S and Azure.

All partners must register for the incentive, with registration opening today, Wednesday 1 March (and open until 1 June).

For sales of Office 365 and Dynamics 365, partners will receive up to US$73 and US$75 (depending on the SKU sold), respectively per seat cashback for new customer adds. Seats become eligible once three new customers are added with at least five seats. These customer seats do not qualify to count towards the incentive, but all other customer seats (regardless of the number) added during the incentive period qualify.

The table below, taken from the Microsoft advisory deck, gives an example of how the incentive works for Office 365 sales:

For EM+S sales, cashback is up to US$35 per seat for new customer adds, with again seats becoming eligible once the first three customers with at least five seats have been added.

Commercial and Government SKUs are included, but not Academic (Student or Faculty) SKUs, and all promotional offers are in addition to current Channel Incentives.

With Azure sales, partners can earn up to 20 percent of all billed Azure revenue from all new customers added during the offer period once three customers spending at least $200 during the incentive period have been created.

Partners can receive up to US$25K per product area, and up to US$50K across the incentive, with Microsoft calculating final payments in September 2017.

Microsoft has developed the incentive with the aim to “help you increase your profitability, drive customer adoption of cloud services, sell premium SKUs, and cross sell new cloud services.”

Resellers are also required to meet Cloud Productivity or Small Mid-Market Cloud Solutions Competency criteria by September 2017, or demonstrate progress towards meeting either competency by acquiring four tenants on Office 365 during the promotion period.
