In November 2019 we welcomed the launch of Microsoft 365 Business Voice - Microsoft’s phone system for the SMB - and which enables partners to provide to businesses of all size the truly unified, productivity, communication and collaboration solution previously only available to enterprise size customers.
Fully integrated into Microsoft 365’s and Office 365’s team hub, Teams, both Business Voice and Microsoft’s enterprise equivalent are offered as a direct routing option and we’re delighted to be partnering with Wavenet, and adding their hero product TeamsLink to our ecosystem.
Wavenet’s industry-leading telephony solution has been designed specifically as a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) carrier for Microsoft Teams, and delivers the additional functionality that customers have been asking for - such as compliant call recording, group voicemails, mask CLI (Calling Line Identity), advanced disaster recovery, and international DDIs for over 100 countries.
Add-ons are available to enable contact centre functionality, incorporating call queues and skill-based routing. The purpose-built portal provides complete visual control for managing users and call flows, while additional contact centre options provide agent dashboards, supervisor dashboards and wallboards.
Our partners have been reporting a tremendous growth in end customer use of Teams and implementation of Microsoft’s Teams Calling plans since the need to ‘work from anywhere’ suddenly hit back in March 2020, with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Even as organisations are being encouraged to return to the office, many continue to operate fully with remote-working, while the majority of others are creating a hybrid model to meet employee expectation and social distancing requirements. The need for Microsoft’s high-end telephony solution has never been greater and TeamsLink and its wealth of features and benefits opens up even more opportunities for partners.
