Michael Frisby on Microsoft Inspire

Vuzion MD, Michael Frisby, writes …

Michael FrisbyAs last year, Microsoft’s global partner event, Inspirewill be held in Las Vegas in 2019, from 14 to 18 July 2019. Following on from the recent blog written by Vuzion’s Azure Commercial Lead, Darren Roberts, I wanted to share my thoughts about the event.

This will be my 11th Inspire - or  WPC (Worldwide Partner Conference) as it was previously known - and it’s always a busy week, with the days filled from 7am to late - with Corenote (aka Keynote) presentations from the Microsoft leadership team, discussion panels, workshops, and exhibition areas to explore. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to network and learn from and share ideas with Microsoft partners from across the globe.

This year I’ll be focusing my time across three key areas:

  1. Modern Workplace, and the SMB opportunity in particular
  2. Azure and how partners can continue to wrap value around it – both in the big End of Support opportunities with Windows & SQL Server 2008 and in the area of AI and the opportunity for the channel, and
  3. Microsoft’s continued transition to the Modern Commerce platform, and the associated changes in licensing and GTM models.

I’m looking forward to hearing Microsoft’s plans for FY20 – about the changes in key programmes and the technology roadmap - and of course, we’ll be sharing all of this with our partners at Vuzion’s post-Inspire event, Inspired.

Vuzion’s Inspired - Thursday 8 August 2019

Hosted at Microsoft UK headquarters in Paddington, London, Vuzion's Inspired event takes place on Thursday 8 August this year - and we’ll be bringing you the key learnings from Inspire. Whether you’re attending Inspire and would like the opportunity to discuss Microsoft’s news in more detail, or are unable to make it to Las Vegas in July, the agenda includes the main takeaways and updates, with a chance to network and chat in greater depth over lunch.

And a personal highlight ...

… on the Saturday before Inspire starts, I’m going to do the Sky Jump from the top of the Stratosphere Hotel. At 855ft up I’m really looking forward to the thrill of the experience and getting a different perspective on Las Vegas!

Inspire updates

We’ll be bringing you news from Microsoft Inspireas the days unfold - but, if you’d like any information about the event ahead of July, the Vuzion team will, as always be happy to help! And you can register today for Inspired via the Vuzion website.
