This course is designed for the delegate to learn various key features of the Power BI service including authoring reports using Power BI Desktop, as well as create operational dashboards and sharing content via the Power BI Service

Course Constitution
This course is constituted as follows

• Theoretical: 10%
• Practical - Demo: 10%
• Practical - Tasks, Activities or Labs: 80%

Percentages are approximate. Whilst we endeavour to include a blend of theory, demo and activities in all of our courses we recognise that some delegates prefer a particular style of course (I.e. wholly or predominantly lab based workshops or immersion experiences) and would ask them to consider their preferred learning style before registration. We would also ask delegates to check the site regularly for new courses as we expand to offer different blends of theory/practice

Who Should Attend?

Level 100: No previous experience with Power BI is necessary. Delegates should have an awareness of commercial priorities in large enterprises and familiarity with Excel and basic data concepts

Roles Aimed at: Technical and non-technical staff seeking to reskill or consolidate knowledge

This course is designed for delegates with technology backgrounds and for non-technical staff with responsibility for reporting and/or data

This course is not intended for:

• Commercial roles with no involvement
• Roles that have no responsibility for working with data

Certifications & Competencies
This course is not linked to exams or competencies, however would be a good first step on the road to DA-100 Data Analyst or PL-900 Power Platform Fundamentals

Prerequisites

• A computer with a minimum of 2-cores and 4GB RAM running Windows 8 / Windows Server 2008 R2, or later
• Display: At least 1440 x 900. 1600 x 900 (16:9) recommended
• Internet connectivity: direct connection to internet outside your organisation
• Microsoft Power BI Desktop installed: you should have downloaded and installed Power BI Desktop from the Microsoft Store: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2135345 or from the download centre: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2135519
• Sign up for Power BI: Go to http://aka.ms/pbidiadtraining and sign up for Power BI with a business email address. If you cannot sign up for Power BI, let the instructor know
